Abstract

This is the third volume of JHES, the new open-access journal that places the interaction between human actors and their physical environ-ment centre stage. We are very happy to present to you a special issue that exemplifies this approach by studying the implications of siting nuclear installations at national borders for a variety of actors involved (the nuclear industry, anti-nuclear protest movements, policy-makers). The guest editors, Arne Kaijser and Jan-Henrik Meyer, have collected a number of case studies that, together, encompass a large part of Western and Southern Europe.
